Support for LexisNexis TotalPatent
BizInt Smart Charts for Patents 3.3.22 (12 July 2010) adds support for importing search results from Lexis Nexis TotalPatent.
You can export results from your TotalPatent work folder using the "Export to BizInt Smart Charts for Patents" option; a "BPD" (BizInt Patent Data) file will be exported from TotalPatent. Images are not currently exported from TotalPatent.
Current customers will need to download the latest release of BizInt Smart Charts for Patents in order to import TotalPatent data.
If you are not a customer, you can use the trial software to evaluate using BizInt Smart Charts with TotalPatent data.

Subscribe to release announcements
We now provide the ability to subscribe to announcements of new releases. Whenever we publish a new release, subscribers will receive an email with information on the changes in the release and a link back to the BizInt website to download the software.
You will be able to unsubscribe at any time by following a link at the bottom of each message.

Version 4.0 under development
The focus of BizInt development in 2008-2009 is Version 4.0, a major upgrade to BizInt Smart Charts for Patents and BizInt Smart Charts for Drug Pipelines. Version 4.0 will introduce the concept of "Reference Rows" -- the ability to create a single row combining information from different sources.

Version 3.3 released in October 2007
On 30 October 2007, BizInt Solutions released Version 3.3 of BizInt Smart Charts for Patents, BizInt Smart Charts for Drug Pipelines and BizInt Smart Charts Viewer. We encourage all customers to download and install the Version 3.3 software. We will continue to issue interim releases of Version 3.3 as necessary until Version 4.0 is released.
New in BizInt Smart Charts 3.3 releases:
- new interface for combining and updating reports
- Row Status column indicating if rows are added, updated, etc. in updated and combined charts
- automatic detection of which cells have changed in an updated report
- ability to have row shading change when the major sort key changes. For example, row shading changes to indicate each common drug name or common patent family.
- ability to enter a chart title when creating a combined or updated report
New in BizInt Smart Charts for Patents 3.3
- support for PatBase and Thomson Pharma IP
- support for full-text links from PatentOrder and espacenet, and the ability to specify full text sources by authority
- improved truncation support
New in BizInt Smart Charts for Drug Pipelines 3.3
- create combined clinical trial reports from Citeline TrialTrove and Adis Clinical Trials Insight
New in BizInt Smart Charts Viewer 3.3
- row shading based on the primary sort key
- improved color handling
- improved export
- full-text links to patents on esp@cenet and PatentOrder
- several bug fixes.
